Why me out of all of them?
Because of your animosity to Allah and His Messenger.
On the road back to Madinah after Badr, Ramadan 2 AH · 2 AH
After the Battle of Badr, the Muslims took 70 prisoners back toward Madinah. Two of them were executed on the way. They were al-Nadr ibn al-Harith and Uqba ibn Abi Mu'ayt. The early biographer Ibn Ishaq calls them the "devils" (shayatin) of the Quraysh.
Al-Nadr had mocked the Qur'an more than anyone, telling people he could tell them better stories. Uqba was the man who had thrown a camel's entrails on the Prophet ﷺ while he prayed, and who had tried to choke him.
When Uqba was brought out, he asked why he had been singled out from all the others. Ali ibn Abi Talib RA told him it was because of his hostility to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. It is said that Ali RA carried out the execution.
Outcome: Al-Nadr ibn al-Harith and Uqba ibn Abi Mu'ayt were executed. The other 68 prisoners were brought to Madinah.
Some scholars say this is the only time prisoners of war were executed under the command of the Prophet ﷺ. The general rule in Islam is that prisoners of war are not executed. This exception showed that not all the disbelievers were treated alike. The two men who had gone furthest in mocking and attacking the Prophet ﷺ were shown no clemency, while the rest of the 70 prisoners were shown mercy.
