Usama ibn Zayd RA was born in the house of Muhammad ﷺ to Zayd ibn Harithah RA and Ummi Ayman RA, and was raised there from infancy.
Usama RA was known as Hibb Rasulillah, the Beloved of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he held a special place in the household. When the Companions wanted something from the Prophet ﷺ, they would ask Usama RA to make the request for them. They knew the Prophet ﷺ loved him too much to refuse him.
