صَبْراً يَا آلَ يَاسِرٍ فَإِنَّ مَوْعِدَكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ
Be patient, O family of Yasir! Indeed, the place appointed to you is Paradise.

Details differ across the sources
Early authorities differ on the exact manner of Yasir's death.
Yasir, his wife Sumayyah, and their sons Abdullah and Ammar were a family of slaves in Makkah who had accepted Islam. The Quraysh tortured them together, each in front of the others.
Yasir was the first to die. Early authorities differ on exactly how he was killed. Some say he was dragged through the streets by a rope, and others say horses pulled him apart. His death only made Sumayyah's faith stronger, and she rebuked Abu Jahal, one of the fiercest enemies of Islam. Abu Jahal killed her with a thrust of his spear. Yasir and Sumayyah were the first martyrs of Islam.
Their son Abdullah was then thrown into a ditch. Ammar was probably no older than fifteen. Overwhelmed by the torment, he said words of disbelief to make it stop. Because he was the youngest, the Quraysh finally let him go.
Yasir and Sumayyah became the first martyrs (shuhada) of Islam.
