I was never more jealous of any woman than I was of Khadija, even though I never saw her, because I knew how much the Prophet ﷺ loved her.
~During the Madinan period
Aisha RA never met Khadija RA, the first wife of the Prophet ﷺ. Yet she said she was never more jealous of any woman than of Khadija, because she knew how much the Prophet ﷺ loved her. One reason was that whenever the Prophet ﷺ received gifts, money, or meat, he would send part of it to Khadija RA's friends.
Once, when the Prophet ﷺ was speaking about Khadija RA, Aisha RA lost patience. She asked him how long he would keep mentioning an old woman when Allah had given him a young wife in her place. The Prophet ﷺ was displeased and replied, "No, by Allah. Allah has not given me anyone better than her. She was the first to believe in me when everyone rejected me. And she gave me of her money when everyone had abandoned me. And she supported me when the community gave me the cold shoulder. And Allah blessed me with children only through her." After this, Aisha RA never mentioned Khadija RA again.
A vivid, authentic portrait of the Prophet ﷺ's enduring love and loyalty to Khadija RA, and of Aisha RA's honesty in reporting her own human jealousy.

Ya Rasulullah, for how long are you going to mention an old woman when Allah has given you a young one instead?
Said after growing impatient at hearing the Prophet ﷺ mention Khadija RA yet again.
No, by Allah. Allah has not given me anyone better than her. She was the first to believe in me when everyone rejected me. And she gave me of her money when everyone had abandoned me. And she supported me when the community gave me the cold shoulder. And Allah blessed me with children only through her.
When Khadija's sister came to visit and asked permission to enter, I saw the color drain from his face: her footsteps and her voice reminded him so much of Khadija that even after so many years, he was almost moved to tears.
Recalling a visit by Khadija RA's older sister to the Prophet ﷺ in Madinah.
