طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّٰه
Talhah ibn Ubaydillah RA was one of the ten Companions promised Jannah, an expert archer and a great warrior. Before Badr the Prophet ﷺ sent him with Sa'id ibn Zayd RA to scout the Quraysh caravan. His finest hour was at Uhud in 3 AH, when he was one of only two Muhajirun left beside the Prophet ﷺ as the enemy closed in; he shielded him with his own body, lost fingers in the fighting, and caught a blow meant for the Prophet ﷺ on his shield. After Tabuk he was the only one of the Muhajirun to rise and congratulate Ka'b ibn Malik RA on his repentance, a kindness Ka'b remembered for forty years.
