The Quraysh are plotting to kill your father.
Father, the Quraysh are plotting to kill you.
Fear not. Allah will take care of me. Bring me water.
~8th-9th year of the dawah (c. 618-619 CE)
Plots to kill the Prophet ﷺ began around the eighth or ninth year of his mission. Ibn Ishaq narrates that a woman who lived nearby warned his daughter Fatima that the Quraysh were planning to assassinate him. Fatima told her father. He reassured her that Allah would protect him and asked for water. He made wudu (the washing before prayer), made du'a (supplication), and then walked into the area around the Ka'bah, where the armed men of Quraysh were waiting for him. Not one of them could move or stand up. The Prophet ﷺ threw a handful of sand toward their faces and cursed them.

May these faces be cursed.
